channel keys in large channels
When key reuse is disabled, each join or departure makes the maintainer send fresh keys separately to everyone in the channel. With hundreds of users, frequent changes can delay key delivery and chat. These options keep the current keys for the events you choose. New users still receive their own encrypted copy. A new maintainer always creates fresh keys.
New users may be able to read earlier channel traffic if they obtain a copy encrypted with these same keys.
Users who leave still know these keys. They may be able to read later channel traffic if they obtain a copy, until the keys change.
The count is taken after the join or departure and excludes idle users and music bots. Below the relevant threshold, fresh keys are required. By default, keys are kept on joins at 50 users and on departures at 100 users. Saved changes reach connected clients immediately.

identity
An identity file (.lmn) contains a complete identity. Importing it makes this device connect as that identity, and any server that already knows it restores the associated groups and permissions. Select the file or drop it onto this dialog; nothing changes until you confirm. Rebuilding the key pair can take a moment. The file is read locally and never leaves this device.
use an identity passphrase instead
This identity is the RSA key pair this device connects with; groups and permissions granted on a server are bound to it. Export it as a file to keep a backup or to move it to another device, where it can be imported. Treat the file and the passphrase below as secrets: anyone who holds them can act as you.
